ENPLASTIC GRINDING AND POLISHING MEDIAS
In plastic medias, abrasive particles are held in polyester resin. Compared to ceramic medias, they are of lower density and are softer. Plastic grinding medias are mostly used for deburring, rust removal, degreasing, descaling, cut-off corner, oxide opening of soft metals (aluminum, zinc brass, zamak, gold, copper, silver, etc.) and plastic-based materials.
The high quality plastic grinding medias offered by Kromaş allow you to achieve low surface roughness (Ra, Rz) values without damaging the surface of the workpieces by means of the soft binder resin.
There are plastic grinding medias available in many different dimensions, geometries and abrasion levels.

Transparent looking polishing media. It is used in antique opening processes and in areas that do not require much brightness. Especially recommended for ancient Copper and Nickel opening process. Its abrasion rate is very low.

It is a media with very sensitive abrasion feature. It is especially used in the Jewelery industry. Even in natural and synthetic gem-mounted products, it has the ability to erode the material without scratching the gem. In cases where the surface roughness value is desired to be low, it is used either alone or with the purpose of surface correction after treatment with another media. After the process, the surface turns out slightly shiny. Abrasion rate in vibration and centrifuge is very recommended for Antik opening process. The rate of wear in vibration and centrifuge is very low.
